On Wednesday, July 22 at Martin’s Crosswinds in Greenbelt, Randy Repcheck, Acting Executive Director of the Office of Strategic Management within FAA’s Office of Commercial Space Transportation (or AST), gave MSBR members an inside look: how the office licenses and regulates commercial launch and reentry, how it works directly with commercial payload and human spaceflight companies, and how it balances a dual mandate that has been in place since 1984.

Randy brought 26+ years at the FAA to the conversation, spanning policy, regulations, standards, R&D, international engagement, and spaceports. Thank you to Randy for making the trip, and to everyone who joined us.
