The Engage Series has teamed up with the Getting to Know Goddard Series and the Maryland Space Business Roundtable to present a special event on Earth Science and the upcoming Landsat 9 launch. Landsat 9, slated for a September 27, 2021, launch will join Landsat 8 in orbit. Once on orbit, Landsat 9 will synchronize with the previously launched Landsat 8 satellite to establish a revisit time for data collection of 8 days – as it is now for Landsat 7 and Landsat 8. Landsat 9 will take Landsat 7’s place on orbit.
