Coffee & Convos: A Morning Success

What a fantastic turnout for our January “Coffee & Convos” on Wednesday, January 14! The Maryland Space Business Roundtable was thrilled to bring together our member companies and distinguished government guests at the PG Innovation Station in Largo.

A huge thank you to the Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation for hosting us, and to Alicia Moran, Director of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, for setting the stage with her opening remarks.

We were especially honored to have energized participation from key agency leaders, including Cynthia Simmons, Acting Center Director, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center; Ray Rubilotta, Associate Center Director, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center; and Henry Hope, Associate Director for Strategic Partnerships, Office of LEO Observations, NOAA.

The conversation focused on the strength of Maryland’s aerospace ecosystem. We discussed strategies to support and grow Maryland-based agency centers such as GSFC and NOAA while strengthening ties with our premier research partners like Johns Hopkins and the University of Maryland.

Missed this one? The MSBR is committed to keeping these conversations going. We will be holding additional “Coffee and Convos” as well as evening “Cocktails and Convos” at various locations across the region throughout the year. Stay tuned for the next invite!
