2026 MSBR Spring Gala: A Success!

On Friday, April 24, the Maryland Space Business Roundtable (MSBR) held its 29th Annual Gala! This represents 29 years of bringing together the people performing research that advances our understanding of both the Earth and space, and building space mission infrastructure, STEM pipelines, and Maryland’s next generation of engineers and explorers.

Why does it matter? In 2025 alone, MSBR members funded over $60,000 in grants across 27 recipient organizations supporting Maryland’s STEM pipeline.

That money doesn’t come from a government line item. It comes from the space industry showing up to this annual event, sponsoring the event, donating and bidding on silent auction items, buying raffle tickets, and choosing to invest in the next generation. This year’s award honorees made that mission personal:

STEM Star: Baltimore City Engineering Alliance

Constellation Award (Small Business/Individual): Georgie Brophy

Constellation Award (Large Business): The Aerospace Corporation

Lifetime Achievement Award: The Honorable Dr. Aprille Ericsson. Dr. Ericsson’s recognition was a highlight of the night. A lifetime of contribution to space, science, and representation!
