MSBR Welcomes You!
Who We Are: Members represent the dynamic needs and interests of Maryland’s space community. The MSBR conducts networking, education, and community outreach programs throughout the year. The MSBR is governed by bylaws and operated by Officers under the direction of a Board. Officers and Board members are elected by Members. The Officers and Board of Directors represent the Maryland space business and academic community and the MSBR constituency base.

A Space Community Acting Together in Mutual Interest
Maryland is a powerhouse of innovation and technical expertise, ranking second nationally for professional and technical workers (30% of its workforce) and federal R&D obligations, with $20.7 billion in funding. The state attracts top-tier talent, ranking among the highest for computer and information research scientists, physical scientists, and aerospace engineers. Its aerospace and defense industries drive economic growth, supporting over 112K private-sector jobs, including 79K+ in computer systems design and 17K+ in R&D. In 2023, Maryland hosted 12,475 business establishments, generated $21.8 billion in private wages, and contributed $46.4 billion to its gross state product, reinforcing its role as a leader in technology, defense, and innovation.*
MSBR strives to offer networking, events, and opportunities that foster valuable, long-term connections within our industry. Facilitating collaborations and offering access to government colleagues as featured speakers and fellow event attendees are several of the many reasons to secure your membership with MSBR!1
