Our Impact In The Community

We would like to thank you for your gracious donation during the 2022 season. Your contributions have allowed us to design and create “Hyacinth,” our competition robot for this year’s FRC game: “Rapid React.”

We are pleased to report that we had a fantastic start to our season, taking home first place at both of our district events. None of this would have been possible without your support.

Out of over 100 local teams, we are currently placed 6th in the FRC Chesapeake District, and have qualified for the District Championships. We would love it if you joined us for this event at the Hampton Coliseum in Virginia from April 6th to 9th.

MSBR funding aided in the Power Hawks’ robot, Corvus, placing first in the Chesapeake District Competition #1 and #2. Our robot, Corvus, performed exceptionally on both competition dates, and was truly a force to be reckoned with. On top of this, we won the prestigious Chairman’s Award for our outreach initiatives. None of these awards and accomplishments would be possible without your support.

By investing in Silver Sat, you are investing in children throughout Silver spring. Together MSBR and Silver Sat will train children on the basics of space exploration, and provide them with the tools they will require to launch a Cube Sat into space.

UMD Loop student team is incredibly talented and applied their learning about hyperloop travel to tunneling for high-speed trains. They received a Best Team Safety award at the first international Not-A-Boring Competitoin last fall. Your support is critical to their success and allows our students to do what they do best-innovate, collaborate, and learn.

Additionally, your support of CMSE provides the University of Maryland with a valuable opportunity to strengthn the pipeline for diverse talent. By connecting with underrepresented middle and high school students and their familiers, CMSE shows how a STEM career pathway is possible.  Your support helps CMSE to offer its many programs and for underrepresented students to envision and pursue STEM careers.

You should take great pride in knowing that your contribution is promoting the intellectual growth and success of the next generation of engineers.
