SUMMARY:July 22 MSBR Luncheon with Randy Repcheck
DESCRIPTION:Randy Repcheck\, Acting Executive Director\, Office of Strategic Management\, FAA\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRandy Repcheck currently serves as the acting Executive Director\, Office of Strategic Management\, with FAA’s Office of Commercial Space. The Strategic Management directorate focuses on commercial space policy\, regulations\, standards\, research & development\, budget & finance\, human capital planning\, learning & development\, strategic planning\, international engagement\, and spaceports. He has served with the FAA for over 26 years\, with prior service at the Department of Transportation. He is a graduate of Penn State University\, followed by a J.D. in Law from William & Mary. \n\n\n\n[ Stand out front with MSBR’s New “Sponsor the Speaker” promotion! Learn more here.] \n\n\n\nThe Office of Commercial Space Transportation (AST) was established in 1984 as part of the Office of the Secretary of Transportation within the Department of Transportation (DOT). In November 1995\, Commercial Space Transportation was transferred to the FAA as its only space-related line of business. Commercial Space Transportation was established to: \n\n\nRegulate the U.S. commercial space transportation industry\, to ensure compliance with international obligations of the United States\, and to protect the public health and safety\, safety of property\, and national security and foreign policy interests of the United States;\n\nEncourage\, facilitate\, and promote commercial space launches and reentries by the private sector;\n\nRecommend appropriate changes in Federal statutes\, treaties\, regulations\, policies\, plans\, and procedures; and\n\nFacilitate the strengthening and expansion of the U.S. space transportation infrastructure.\n\n\n \n\n\n\nFAA’s Commercial Space Transportation manages its licensing and regulatory work as well as a variety of programs and initiatives to ensure the health and facilitate the growth of the U.S. commercial space transportation industry through the Office of the Associate Administrator\, the Deputy Associate Administrator\, the Chief of Staff and with Offices of Operational Safety and the Strategic Management. To see how this office is structured\, please view the Commercial Space Transportation Organizational Chart. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStand Out Front with MSBR’s New “Sponsor the Speaker” Promotion\n\n\n\nYour MSBR board is continually looking for ways to both help our member companies gain meaningful market exposure and increase our ability to support STEM organizations throughout Maryland. To that end\, we are pleased to announce the introduction of a “Sponsor the Speaker” option for our luncheons this year. \n\n\n\nThe $1\,200 per event sponsorship cost provides you with the honor of introducing that month’s speaker\, accompanied by a slide with your company’s name and logo\, as well as a single seat for your company’s designated representative at the head table. \n\n\n\nThe full sponsorship cost will be a donation directly to MSBR’s STEM Grant Fund\, which supports STEM groups—largely made up of students—throughout the state of Maryland. Last year\, MSBR proudly donated $60\,000 to approximately 30 groups\, many of whom counted on our support to fund this year’s operations. \n\n\n\nWe hope that you will consider sponsoring our luncheon on July 22\, 2026\, featuring Randy Repcheck. Sponsorships are offered on a first-come\, first-served basis. \n\n\n\nPlease contact Missy at missy@mdspace.org to sponsor or with any questions. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nMSBR Luncheon RegistrationPlease enable JavaScript in your browser to complete this form. Please enable JavaScript in your browser to complete this form.POC Name *FirstLastPOC Email *CompanyPOC Phone *Title *Civil Servants: Your title is needed to clarify your level of management.
